Please note that ONLY Veteran Horse society Members are eligible to compete in the Regional Championship. re gional winners will go on to compete at the Veteran Horse Society Show Championship Supreme Final. RING ONE—Commencing 9am sharp
Class 1 NOVICE RIDDEN COMBINATION Open to horses or ponies, mares or geldings, 4 years old and over, not to have been placed first in a ridden class.
Class 2 OPEN RIDDEN MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND TYPES Open to small and large breed mountain and moorland ponies, registered and unregistered, riders any age.
Class 3 OPEN RIDDEN SHOW HUNTER— Open Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, over 15hh.
Class 4 OPEN RIDDEN HACKS AND RIDING HORSES— Show Riding types, hacks and riding horses, mares and geldings, 4 years old and over, 14.2hh and over.
Class 5 OPEN RIDDEN COB TYPE— Native/traditional cobs or show cob types, 4 years old and over. To be shown either with full mane, tail and feathered or hogged and trimmed.
Class 6 OPEN COLOURED HORSE OR PONY Native or non native piebald, skewbald or spotted horse or pony,or roans mares or geldings, 4 years old and over.
Class 7 OPEN RIDDEN PART BRED AND FOREGIN BREEDS Ridden horses or ponies, mares or geldings 4 years old and over, to be registered part bred of any breed or a registered foreign breed.
Class 8 OPEN RIDING PONIES AND SHOW HUNTER PONIES Open to riding ponies and show hunter ponies, 14.2 and under, mares and geldings, 4 years old and over.
Class 9 OPEN BEST RIDER
Class 10 OPEN RIDING CLUB HORSE OR PONY Open to mares or geldings, 4 years old and over, must be a current member of a riding or pony club.

CLASS 11 VETERAN PLUS—25 years old and over horse or pony in hand, exhibitor any age.
CLASS 12 VETERAN—20-24 years old, horse of pony in hand, exhibitor any age.
CLASS 13 PRE-VETERAN 15-19 year old, horse or pony, in hand, exhibitor any age.
CLASS 14 VETERAN PLUS—25 years old and over, horse or pony ridden, exhibitor any age
CLASS 15 VETERAN 20-24 years old, horse or pony ridden, exhibitor any age
CLASS 16 PRE-VETERAN—15-19 year old, horse or pony ridden, exhibitor any age.
THE SIX WINNERS WILL GO FORWARD TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP TO DECIDE THE REGIONAL CHAMPION
The same competitor cannot go forward to the championship as the winner of both in hand and ridden classes. If this situation occurs, a choice must be made by the competitor between which section, in hand or ridden, he/she will enter for the championship. The second placed competitor in either the in hand or ridden section not chosen by the winner will then qualify and go forward to the championship THE CHAMPION OF THE DAY WILL QUALIFY FOR OLYMPIA 2008 IN DECEMBER
Competitors wishing to qualify for Olympia must have qualified at a VHS Area Qualifying show and must hold a valid Regional Qualification/Acceptance Card, which must be shown on entry with current membership card. Competitors must display the age of the horse/pony on the bridle, ridden and in hand. All competitors must adhere to V.H.S. standards or turnout No Spurs, galloping or wearing of ear rings is permitted Minimum age of handle for In Hand classes is 9 years old and over.
