CLASS 1 P(UK) WATSON RIDDEN COMPETITION /DRESSAGE /HORSE/PONY WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP Competition/dressage horse/pony stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years and over, any height, rider any age. Method of judging: horses and ponies to enter the ring individually and will not be ridden by the judge. Judged according to the Ponies UK performance/competition class rules
PHASE 1 PERFORMANCE AND FREESTYLE SHOW 60 MARKS PHASE 2 CONFORMATION, TYPE AND SUITABILITY FOR DRESSAGE 40 MARKS The individual freestyle show to include the following movements in an arena no larger than 40m x 60m. Halt, walk on a long rein, ordinary trot serpentine, extended trot on the diagonal, canter serpentine with a change of lead, extended canter on the diagonal. Not to exceed 2 minutes.
CLASS 2 PUK AMATEUR RIDERS RIDDEN HORSE/HUNTER/COB TYPE WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, any height, Riders any age.
CLASS 3 P(UK) APPACHEE RIDDEN PIEBALD/SKEWBALD HORSE/PONY WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP Open ridden skewbald/piebald stallion, mare or gelding, any height 4 years old or over, rider any age.
CLASS 4 P(UK) SPRINGFIELD PART BRED RIDDEN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, any height, Riders any age. Exhibits in this section must be registered in the part bred section of their breed society. Registration numbers must be stated on the entry form. Exhibits to be judged as a riding pony/riding horse. Horses to be ridden at the judges discretion.
CLASS 5 P(UK) MIRAGE SHP OF THE YEAR WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP Pony of show hunter type, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over,not exceeding 153 cms. Riders not to have attained their 20 birthday before 1st January in the current year.Riders must be the correct age for the size of animal they ride.
CLASS 6 P(UK) SAWTRY OPEN RIDING HORSE /COB WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP Riding horse/cob, mare or gelding, 4 years and over, any height, riders any age.
CLASS 7 P(UK) AMATURES RIDERS RIDING PONY WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years and over, not exceeding 153cms, riders any age.
CLASS 8 P(UK) MIMOSA CONFINED NOVICE INTERMEDIATE SHOW RIDING/ HUNTER WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP Mare or gelding, 4 years and over, exceeding 146cms and not exceeding 158cms. Not to have won a first prize of £10 or more in any open intermediate SRT/Show hunter type class before 1st Jan in the current year. Riders not to have attained their 25th birthday before the 1st January in the current year.

CLASS 17 P(UK) APACHEE IN HAND PIEBALD/SKEWBALD IN HAND WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP Mixed Native/traditional cob/show cob type, stallion, mare or gelding, any age any height, to be shown either with full mane and tail and feathered or hogged and trimmed as appropriate and Non Native stallion, mare or gelding, any age, any height, to be shown plaited and trimmed.
CLASS 18 P(UK) CHESHAM HANDLER WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP All handler classes are to be judged on the handlers presentation and showing technique. Please note that ONLY Veteran Horse Society Members are eligible to compete in the Regional Championship. Qualification cards will ONLY be given to the first 2 Members with their V.H.S. membership/horse registration cards as proof of membership to the Society. The Regional winners will go on to compete at the Veteran Horse Society Showing championship Supreme FINAL AT OLYMPIAIN DEC. Date to be finalized. CLASS 22 P(UK) CONFINED NOVICE COLNE M&M LEAD REIN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP Open to confined novice Mountain & Moorland leading rein ponies not to have won a first prize of £10 or more in any open M&M leading rein class before 1st January in the current year. Open to Shetland, Dartmoor, Exmoor, New Forest, Welsh A & B, registered in their APPROVED respective pure breed society STUD BOOKS. Mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 122cms. Riders not to have attained their 9th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Lead rein to be attached to the noseband only.
CLASS 23 P(UK) COLNE M&M LEADING REIN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP Mountain & moorland pony, mare or gelding, 4 yrs and over, not exceeding 122cms, registered in their APPROVED respective pure breed society stud book of Shetland, Dartmoor, Exmoor, New Forest and Welsh A or B. Riders not to have attained their 9th birthday before 1st Jan in the current year. To be led by an attendant and shown in a snaffle bridle, the lead rein to be attached to the noseband only.
CLASS 24 P(UK)CONFINED NOVICE WAXWING M&M FIRST RIDDEN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP Open to Confined Novice M&M first ridden ponies not to have won a first prize of £10 or more in any open M&M first ridden class before 1st January in the current year. Open to Shetland, Dartmoor, Exmoor, New Forest, Welsh A & B ponies, registered in their APPROVED respective pure bred society stud book. Mare or gelding 4 years old and over, not exceeding 128cms. To be shown in any suitable bridle. Riders not to have attained their 12th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
