GREAT CHART SHOWS

As many of you will know, the schedules which are affiliated to showing societies such as PUK, NPS, etc must show the wording regarding the relevant society’s Classes on each schedule.  However, this takes up a vast amount of web space and it makes our schedules with the actual Classes have to be uploaded in very small font size.  So, to help keep the schedules smaller, the wording for the relevant societies that appears on the paper schedule is listed below:

 

PUK

This is a qualifier for puk to be held at Newark and Notts Showground , Newark, Notts, 11-14th August 2010 QUALIFICATION OPEN TO PUK MEMBERS AND NON MEMBERS OF PUK: TO VALIDATE YOUR QUALIFCATION, COMPETITORS ARE REQUIRED TO BECOME A MEMBER WITHIN 14 DAYS. The three highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify. these will go no lower then 3rd place SUMMER Q

RULES FOR THE 2010 POLLYANNA CONFINED NOVICE SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIP These Classes are for horses/ponies that have not won a first prize of £10.00 or more in any open (relevant) Class before 1st January in the current year.1st, 2nd and 3rd placed ponies/horses in all 2010 Summer Pollyanna Confined Novice Qualifiers will qualify for the 2010 P(UK) Summer Championships Qualification Cards will not be presented in the ring.

RULES FOR THE 2010 POLLYANNA HOME PRODUCED SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIP

These Classes are open to horse and ponies that have been stabled at home since 1st August 2009. DIY livery is acceptable providing It is not the establishment of a professional show producer/trainer. Horses/ponies entering these championships must be owned, produced, ridden or led by the owner/spouse or his/her son/daughter/grandchild. It is expected that exhibitors will enter into the true spirit of this competition. The directors reserve the right in, their absolute discretion, to refuse an exhibitors entry should they be in contravention of this rule in the directors considered opinion. Trainers & professional producers must not enter the judging arena at any time. 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed ponies/horses in all 2010 Summer Pollyanna Home Produced Qualifiers will qualify for the 2010 P(UK) Summer Championships Qualification Cards will not be presented in the ring Once qualified if the rider/handler is not a current member with Ponies Association (UK), they have 14 days in order to become an ‘A’/Senior/Junior Riders Club Member in order for the qualification to remain valid.

 

RULES FOR THE P{UK}2010 POLLYANNA AMATEUR RIDERS SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIPS

Open to riders who for showing purposes have not engaged in a training programme for Riders/horses/ponies, livery/buying/selling or dealing of horses/ponies as a means of deriving a source of income since the 1st August 2009. Riders who have qualified for RIHS, HOYS or OLYMPIA in 2008 or 2009 are not eligible for the Pollyanna Amateur Rider Qualifiers. 1st 2nd and 3rd placed ponies/horses in all 2010 Pollyanna Amateur Riders Qualifiers will qualify for the 2010 P(UK) Summer Championships Qualification Cards will not be presented in the ring. Once qualified if the rider/handler is not a current member of Ponies Association (UK), they have 14 days in order to become an ‘A’/Senior/Junior Riders Club Member in order for the qualification to remain valid.

 

NPS

NPS RULES NPS MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND QUALIFYING ROUNDS: These Classes are judged under the rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain and Moorland Stud Books. Part Breds are not eligible. Qualifying Rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non members but only ponies owned by adult NPS members are eligible to qualify for the

final of the competition. The highest placed pony owned by an NPS member in each Class will qualify for the final. Where this pony has already qualifies, the pony standing next n line, owed by an NPS member, and has not already qualified receives the qualification. Qualification may go no lower than 3rd place. NPS Adult/Standard Members will be required to upgrade to adult/showing to enter the final.

 

 

EQUIFEST - The Two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify for the Equifest Final to be held at the East of England Showground

ROYAL LONDON - The three highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify for the Royal London to be held at the East of England Showground

AMATEUR SHOWING SOCIETY HAVE A GO SHOWING CLASSES 1st -3rd qualify for the amateur showing society national championships. Full details can be found on www.amateurshowingsociety.co.uk or telephone 01284 388923. Competitors have 28 days to become a member to retain the qualification.

 

NPS CLASSES to be judged under the rules of the National Pony Society. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members but only ponies owned by adult NPS members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition.

 

The highest placed pony owned by an NPS member in each Class will qualify for the Final. Where this pony has already qualified the pony standing next in line which is owned by an NPS member and has not already qualified receives the qualification. Qualification may go no lower than 3rd place. Judges and/or stewards are requested to check membership cards prior to presenting the qualifying rosettes. NPS Adult/Standard members will be required to upgrade to Adult/Showing to enter the Final.

 

NPS Show Pony and Show Hunter Pony Qualifying Rounds: These Classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the NPS British Riding Pony Stud Book, Register or Appendix, the GSB, the AHSB, the AASB or in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part-Breds are not eligible unless entered in the NPS British Riding Pony Stud Book, Register or Appendix. Ponies must be plaited.

Qualifying rounds are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members but only ponies owned by adult NPS members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern from 4-6th August 2010.

The highest placed pony owned by an NPS member in each Class will qualify for the final. Where this pony has already qualified the pony standing next in line which is owned by an NPS member, and has not already qualified, receives the qualification. Qualification may go no lower than 3rd place. Judges and/or stewards are requested to check membership cards prior to presenting the qualifying rosettes and cards. NPS Adult/Standard members will be required to upgrade to Adult/Showing to enter the final.

NPS/Area 25 Home Produced Ridden Championship - Riders of Home Produced ponies (see definition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white arm band in Classes where this is indicated. These ponies, if owned by NPS members, are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship Show.

NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championships: These Classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a member of the NPS. A valid membership card must be in the rider’s/handler’s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner’s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve. Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships.

d. Qualifiers may only compete in one Kilmannan final.

 

NPS MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND QUALIFYING ROUNDS

These Classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible.

NPS Adult/Standard members will be required to upgrade to Adult/Showing to enter the Final.

 

 

The NPS / PICTON M&M NOVICE RIDDEN CHAMPIONSHIP

Open to pure bred registered Mountain and Moorland stallions, mares and geldings four years old or over.

 

A pony is not eligible to compete if, before 1st January in the current year, it has done any of the following:

i) Won an open NPS affiliated M&M Ridden Class

ii) Won a Class at an Olympia, HOYS or RIHS qualifying round

iii) Qualified for HOYS or RIHS

iv) Qualified for the M&M Novice or Intermediate Ridden final at the NPS Summer Championship show

v) Qualified for the M&M Ridden Championship final at Olympia in previous years or in the current year

Ponies must be ridden in one of the snaffle bridles illustrated in the NPS Rule Book.

 

The NPS / Peasedown Stud M&M Intermediate Ridden National Championship

Open to pure bred registered M&M stallions, mares and geldings five years old or over

A pony is not eligible to compete if it has qualified before 1st January in the current year for ­­

i) The M&M Ridden Championship final at HOYS or

ii) The NPS/Baileys Horse Feeds M&M Supreme Ridden Championship final at Olympia.

 

 

THIS SHOW IS AFFILATED TO THE COLOURED HORSE AND PONY SOCIETY (UK) Both the owner and the rider/EXHIBITITER of any exhibit need not be fully paid-up members of CHAPS (UK) to compete .these Classes are also a qualifier for puk please refer to your chaps handbook .the chaps (UK) championship will be held 3,4,5th sept 2010, members to apply in writing to chaps ukfor appropriate qualifier card the following Classes are chaps uk qualifiers ,,,,,,,,,,,,,for full ruleings and infomation on compition/qualification,please refer to chaps uk members handbook,or visit www.chaps.com for rulings.
