The individual freestyle show must include the following movements in an arena no larger than 40m x 60m: Halt, walk on a long rein, 2-looped trot serpentine, extended trot on the diagonal, 2 looped canter serpentine which must include a change of lead, extended canter on the diagonal. NOT TO EXCEED 2 MINUTES. Snaffle or double bridles only to be used. Please see page 40 for a diagram of suitable bits. Approx 1pmNPS MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND QUALIFYING ROUNDS: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible. Ponies to be trimmed only within their Breed Society specification. Manes must not be plaited and tails must not be braided. All ponies in Novice and Leading Rein Classes must be showin in one of the snaffle bits illustrated in the NPS 2008 Showing and Competition Rules. Qualifying rounds are open to both NPS Members and Non Members but only the highest placed NPS Adult member, on production of their membership card in the ring, will be eligible to qualify for the Final. A valid Membership Card must be in the Rider's/Handler's posession on entering the ring. The first prize winners from each class will go forward to the final to be held at the NPS Summer Championship Show, Malvern, in August. A pony may only qualify once. Where the first pony in the class has already qualified, the pony standing next in line which has not qualified will be deemed the qualifier. Qualification may go no lower than third place. All ponies exhibited in Mountain and Moorland classes must be registered in the main body of the Pure-Bred Stud Book of their respective breeds at the time of entry and entered in the name under which they have been registered. Part-Breds are not eligible and are excluded The Stud Book Registration number of the pony should be shown on the entry form. These classes are open to ponies which are either stabled at home or in a DIY yard and which since 1st January 2008-04-07 have not been shown by a professional producer or stabled in a professional producers yard other than on a DIY basis. To be owned, produced and handled by an Amateur who does not derive income from professional showing or ponies or horses.
